Night Sky was my first ever artwork that I felt proud of. I have had a fascination with reflecting objects like mirrors and glass in the sun, which is actually what inspired my peace. I bought a pair of reflective heart glasses for the 4th of July and I watched the fireworks through them. I kept going back to the thought of it being the perfect setting for a romance movie or a novel.
"Sayonara...Ash"

I watched an anime last year called Banana Fish that absolutely broke me. After a year I decided the ending just wasn't enough for any viewer, so I wrote a squeal. "Sayonara...Ash" is what inspired me to make this artwork. The ending scene is Eiji, one of the main characters reading a note that he left for Ash. While Ash was reading the letter he was stabbed and died. This artwork was made to portray sadness in the part of the story when Eiji committed suicide because he was so connected with Ash he couldn't live without him.
